Estbek House

Standard Double

Having benefited from further improvements at the beginning of 2010 this is a room packed with Georgian charm, from the uniquely different 1/2 height windows (see picture below) to the original ship's timbers running through the room, this is a room to step back from it all and enjoy what our forebears created but still retaining all the luxuries of our time.

Looking through the Yorkshire sash window the view looks down onto the East Beck which in Viking / Old English was known as 'Estbek' - Estbek being given its name as the last references to the East Beck.

As always with Estbek you can be assured of our attention to detail, the room is located on the second floor and is fitted with polished light wooden furniture comfy chairs and a handmade patchwork throw covering the double bed. There are: Flat Screen TV with Sky FreeSat, Tea & Coffee making facilities and hairdryer. The new en-suite shower room also contains a complimentary guest pack and traditional inspired fittings.

'Flo' also hosts pictures by Andrea Bailey, a truly local artist once living in Sandsend. You will see why this is such a fitting picture of the Ducks - a carbon copy of the view! But can you see the rabbits?

The room also has a sampler created by Gillian Casper (Flo's daughter), you can also see further examples with a sampler for Eva and also a large sampler as you walk through the accommodation's private door.
